Magdalene began her career as a waitress in Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore in March 1971. She rose through the ranks and in 1987 was promoted to the position of Manager at the Coffee Garden. A year later, she moved from F&B Restaurant Operation to Room Service. In 2004, she was appointed F&B Divisional Trainer. Throughout her years or service, Magdalene has been involved in productivity related projects and has been called upon on many occasions to serve as a task force member in pre-opening hotels. In her current capacity, she continues to contribute to the success of the hotel by sharing her experience and imparting her knowledge to her younger colleagues in the F&B Division.
