The Corporate Trainee Programme brings in new talent in Shangri-La to be systematically groomed to take up further leadership role within the organization This programme consists of a 16-month Developmental Programme divided in three phases:

Phase One: (four months) - Two months Institutional Learning at the Shangri-La Academy and two months Hotel Orientation

Phase Two: (six months) - On-the-Job Training focused in the area of specialization

Phase Three: (six months) - Stand-in/ Acting position in the target role

The Corporate Trainee will be initially attached to a hotel/ resort from his/her country of origin.

The Selection Criteria for the Corporate Trainee Programme are:

  • Education: Three-year diploma education and above
  • Language Skills: English fluency (both verbal and written)
  • Mobility: Willing to take up overseas assignments after the programme
  • Desired Qualities:
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Has a personal presence–an image appropriate to Shangri-La
    • Personality and attitude that emulates the Shangri-La Core Values
    • Customer focused
    • Strong team spirit
    • Has initiative and drive–gets things done
    • Possess unquestionable integrity and ethics
    • Creative and an open attitude in working with different culture
    • Strong business acumen

The deadline of application for the Corporate Trainee Program 2010 is closed.

The application for the Corporate Trainee Program 2011 will be open in October 2010.
